Erica Leigh Foster is the illusion of John Gilstrap and is an entertainer in Saint Louis, Missouri where he has been featured at places like Hamburger Mary’s and Erney’s 32° and Soulard.

John was born and raised in Seneca, Missouri and after receiving an Associates degree in Fine Arts & minus 1 year of a bachelors in Music Education, he moved to St. Louis to perform with a production company at Six Flags.  John has performed as a singer and dancer for summer stock theater in Oklahoma & Six Flags for 4 seasons as well as the Shoji Tabuchi Theater in Branson, Missouri. John was chosen in 2001 out of 500 contestants to be the lead vocalist to open 6 new Branson venues.

In 2000, he decided to start a career in female impersonation and ERICA LEIGH FOSTER was born. Shortly after, Erica won the title of Miss Gay Missouri America after only 10 short months of performing. Erica went on to Miss Gay America and received the Lady Barbara Award voted on by the former Miss Gay America’s.  Erica has traveled all over the state of Missouri and Illinois performing.   Erica went on to win Miss Missouri Continental in 2004.  Best know as the Country Girl with her rendition of “Rocky Top” and known to everyone as  the “Mouth of the Midwest”,  Erica was also the long time show director at Bubby & Sissy’s in Alton , Illinois.
