The venue owned by <a href=\"https:\/\/ourcommunityroots.com\/?p=91602\">Buddy Brendle<\/a>, opened after Buddy had moved to Hickory from Asheville where he had operated the <a href=\"https:\/\/ourcommunityroots.com\/?p=112272\">Cabaret<\/a>.  Treetops opened in 1979 but was closed by 1980 when Buddy opened <a href=\"https:\/\/ourcommunityroots.com\/?p=112278\">Treetops Act Two<\/a> on 14th Avenue with <a href=\"https:\/\/ourcommunityroots.com\/?p=48290\">Jeff Reeves<\/a> \/ <a href=\"https:\/\/ourcommunityroots.com\/?p=10690\">Nancy Newton<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NOTE: We are still researching this club to determine its exact location as well as any entertainers who may have been featured there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Treetops, now closed, was located in Hickory, North Carolina on Cherry Street.
