She stood beside young individuals coming out of the closet. For those that didn\u2019t have a mother or a parent, she filled that shoe to allow them to have the hugs they needed and the love of a parent figure. She also assisted with <a href=\"https:\/\/ourcommunityroots.com\/?p=99652\">Don&#8217;t H8<\/a> organization and was a parent to openly gay step son.
