Jonah, known as the Godfather of Drag, started out performing in 2000 at Blake’s with Miss Tracy, Candy James, Jennifer James, Candy Bar, and Tiffany Scott. Through the years he has worked in many of the St. Louis venues and with many other performers. After a few years of performing, Jonah became the show director for the Monday Night King Show at Novak’s. Also While at Novak’s , he took over the annual fundraiser “TIPS For TA TA’S” and still organize’s this very special event each year in October.
After the closure of Novak’s, the kings found a new home at Rehab and made a new show, “The Friday Night Frat Pack”. Now the kings have moved over to R Bar with a bigger lesbian base audience where Jonah puts together “Saturday Night Swag” which is a bi monthly show. “Swag” showcases the premier kings in St. Louis. Along with Swag, you can also catch Jonah at a monthly show at Hummel’s Pub with the Broads of Broadway. Jonah is an “honorary” broad and he performs once again with Jennifer James and Candy James along with Janice Price and Bonnie Blake. These legendary queens have been friends and mentors of Jonah’s throughout his whole career.
Jonah is not a pageant king but has competed in a few pageants. In 2007, he won Mr. Novak’s. In 2012, won the coveted St. Louis King of Pride. King of Pride is for St. Louis community and Jonah sees this title as a great honor to hold. He also competed in Missouri Entertainer of the Year where he did very well in both state and national levels. His most cherished title is not one from a pageant. This title came from his King peers. He is Known as JONAH GODFATHER of DRAG. He holds this title with honor and takes this title very seriously. He encourages new kings and pushes to make the kings shows to be bigger and better.
