Candis Cayne is an actress and former show girl who got her start in New York City in the 1990’s where she was featured at places like Boy Bar and Tour in Chelsea. In 1995, Candis appeared in the documentary titled ‘Wigstock: The Movie’ and the films ‘Stonewall’ and ‘To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar’.
In 2001, Candis won the Miss Continental pageant and toured the US participating in the pageant circle. By 2007, Candis starred in a new movie titled ‘Starbooty’. From 2007-2008, Candis starred in the ABC drama ‘Dirty Sexy Money’. Many consider Candis a pioneer and inspiration to transgendered women. Her contributions have truly paved the way for those the GLBT community.
