Mr. D’s Peppermint Lounge, now closed, was located on 11th Avenue in Columbus, Ohio across from the Ohio State Fairgrounds. The bar was known to be open in the 1960’s and possibly into the 1970’s. Word has it that this gay venue, during the Ohio State Fair sent their lgbt patrons to the patio and served the straight community inside the bar.
