Rachel Wells was the illusion behind the amazing John Greenwell. During the 70’s, Rachel worked out of Atlanta, Georgia where she was featured at places like Sweet Gum Head.
In 1978, Rachel won the coveted title of Miss Gay America 1979 and was quickly a favorite in the drag circuit. Now retired from performing, John is still involved with the America system by serving as a judge from time to time. John is also an accomplished author and playwright. In 2013, he published the book “Who the Hell is Rachel Wells?”
